A Texas Lawmaker has proposed creating a bill to create a registry for repeat CDV offenders. The registry would operate similar to the sex offender registry. The general public would be able to search the registry for free. The intent would be to allow those who are unable to afford a criminal background check ($25 in South Carolina) to determine if someone is a repeat CDV offender.
