One of the most significant penalties for those convicted of criminal domestic violence comes as a result of the Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban.
This Federal law prohibits anyone convicted of a CDV in South Carolina from being in possession of any firearm. There are no exceptions made for police officers, military service members,
hunters or concealed weapon permit holders.This is in addition to the other
penalties for a CDV conviction.
